What Are Petal Caps
Petal Caps are a crafting material that comes from gathering at a Fronded Petalcap, a strange green pointed plant that somewhat resembles the Echeveria Elegant succulent plant. These bulbous fronds are easy to spot, if players know where to look.
The Fronded Petalcap are small in size, though, so many players either walk right over them or don’t even register that they’re useful.
The trees themselves look like a light green twisting tree. Once you’ve managed to find a gathering of mushrooms, you can interact with it to harvest some petal caps.
Where to find the resource
Fronded Petal Caps are generally found in grasslands and wooded areas. The area around Windsward is a good place to start, though you can find them scattered as far as northeast of Cutlass Keys. You can refer to the map above for more densely packed areas. Alternatively, this interactive map will give the exact locations. You may also have more luck finding the plants further away from the settlement, depending on how busy your server is.
